In truly terrifying insect news, a massive wasp nest was recently discovered in the hallway of an uninhibited house in Spain.
Nervous neighbors contacted police in San Sebastian de la Gomera on Spain’s Canary Islands about the giant nest, which is 21-feet, 9-inches in length and home to millions of wasps, Think Spain reported Tuesday.
Officers have not been able to find the owners of the wasp-infected house, Think Spain reported.
Experts said they believe a species of wasp from Africa built the nest because the native insects would not be able to build something that enormous. The Canary Islands are only about 60 miles from the coast of northwest Africa.
Officers have cordoned off the abandon property but have not been able to locate its owners, according to Think Spain.
