JUSTINE Hobart’s dad Andy managed to do pretty well to not hit anything when his prime mover and triple road train jackknifed last Tuesday night.
He was driving along Tivendale and Wishart Rds in Darwin, when a wasp nest caused him to lose control.
The wasp had built a nest in the service line on the back of the front trailer while he was sitting at “tolls” for only eight hours.
Justine said her father had 36 years’ experience in truck driving and he was lucky to have that under his belt and keep the rig up right or even stop.
“I guess it all comes down to experience and how you manage yourself in that sort of situation,” she messaged to Big Rigs’ on facebook.
